Presqu’ile Provincial Park – Brighton, Ontario
This is video of our drive to Bon Echo Provincial Park in early October. The fall colours were beautiful! We travelled Highway 7 from Peterborough to Kaladar and then Highway 41 to the park outside of Cloyne.
Bon Echo is one of our favourite parks to visit in autumn! The popular park is quieter in the fall and the scenery along its many trails is breathtaking.
Don’t forget to stop at the Truly Canadian Chip Truck on Highway 7 in Tweed!
Monarch butterflies migrate from southern Canada across the US to Mexico beginning in late summer. Several Ontario Provincial Parks are key migration points. Visit parks like Presqu’ile, Darlington, or Pelee Point in Ontario to take part in tagging.
This is a little video from September of 2014 in Presqu’ile Provincial Park in Brighton. Lots of large bushes were filled with Monarchs, but this little buddy and I became friends on the beach. Check Friends of Presqu’ile Park for seasonal events.
